Frequently Asked Questions
The widget shows "Could not load departures"
This usually means there is no internet connection. Check your network and the widget will refresh automatically within a few minutes.
The widget shows the wrong stop
If you have multiple favorites, the widget displays the nearest one based on your location. If location access is denied, it shows the first stop alphabetically. You can manage your favorites in the app.
How do I enable automatic nearest-stop switching?
Grant "Always Allow" location permission when prompted. This lets the widget update in the background as you move around the city, using battery-efficient location changes.
Can I filter which lines are shown?
Yes. In the app, tap on a favorite stop to configure line and destination filters.
How many favorites can I add?
The free version supports up to 2 favorite stops. You can unlock unlimited favorites with a one-time in-app purchase.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the app — your purchase is restored automatically through your Apple ID. If it doesn't appear, tap the purchase option and it will recognize your existing purchase.
Departure times seem wrong
The widget shows real-time departure data from HSL. If a departure is delayed, a delay badge (e.g. "+3") is shown. Times update automatically as the widget timeline advances.
The app doesn't find my stop
MyStops HKI uses HSL data and covers the Helsinki region (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen, and nearby municipalities served by HSL). Stops outside this area are not available.
